Welcome to the heart of one of the most beautiful regions in France.
Florence and Nathalie welcome you to their home, in this unique place,
ideally located to discover Périgord Noir and Quercy
Hors-série is the story of a change of liveS!!
We were looking for a place that resonated with our aspirations and it was a double coup de coeur for this region and its 19th century building. We were seduced by the charm of the place (that inexplicable je ne sais quoi that makes you feel immediately familiar with it) and its incredible potential, by the characterful stone walls, the spacious interior courtyard that opens onto the horizon, by the magical view, by the mostly wooded grounds and by the location on the causses, in a small hamlet that is so peaceful but so close to all the remarkable sites! We have put a lot of ourselves and energy into restoring the property in order to give it a new life while respecting its personality, combining the charm of the old stones with contemporary decoration, art and nature, and every day we feel more and more connected to it.

Hors-série is a concept that combines the personality of a guest house with the quality of a small charming hotel. It is an exceptional and atypical place to enjoy a different experience.
Our house and our rooms have been designed so that you can combine conviviality and freedom, art and nature, privacy and comfort, design and authenticity, calm and rest, activities and heritage and so much more...
Our two rooms have very different characters, inspired by our passions, and we have taken great pleasure in thinking and decorating them for you. We have breath life into ETOSHA with the atmosphere and charm of an African lodge, which will give you the feeling of coming back from a day on safari. ESCALE, all dressed in gray and white, is a wink to the two insatiable globe-trotters that we are.

We are both photographers, passionate about art photography and sensitive to contemporary art. Opening our own art gallery is the realization of a long-time dream. There is no classic scheme or school to become a gallery owner, but all the people who do this job do it by passion. We are very lucky because France has an extremely rich heritage and cultural networks, everything is favorable to the discovery of art, all over the territory. And even in Peyrillac and Millac now! It's a bit of a crazy project, we are conscious of it, but as Marc Twain wrote so well "They didn't know it was impossible, so they did it! "
We have created a beautiful space that will serve as a framework for multiple exhibitions and will hopefully welcome an eclectic and numerous audience.
As guests, you will sleep "in" the gallery and have privileged access to the works on display.
"Breakfast is sacred". Or how to start the day well!
Your first meal of the day is Nathalie's business. She prepares and composes it every morning with local products (mostly organic), seasonal and many homemade preparations, like her jams and cakes. Whether you are more "sweet" or "savory", you will find happiness among her many gourmet proposals.
It is also a privileged moment for exchanges, and if you wish it, we will be pleased to advise you, share our good plans, our good addresses and answer your questions.

The setting is exceptional and you will fall under its charm. The building was built on the heights, on the edge of the Causse, entirely oriented towards a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills and valleys. The Dordogne valley is at our feet, and even if you can't distinguish the river, it lets you guess its presence, architect and director of the panorama that is offered to you.
You can enjoy it at any time of the day from the two terraces surrounding the spa.
Unless you prefer to recharge your batteries in the shade of our splendid linden tree, go for a walk in our wood, or observe the life of the little people who animate the large pond which is there.
In addition to the countless attractions of the region, hors-série offers a wide range of activities that you can enjoy on site.
- ART GALLERY: admire the works in VIP of art on display at any time of the day or night
- PHOTOGRAPHY : offer yourself a photo workshop or book a studio portrait session in our FUNNY BOX (we are both professional photographers).
- RELAXATION : enjoy the spa, the view. Sit in the shade of the linden tree, stroll in our wood, or wander by the pond...
- SPORT : go hiking (the GR6 passes right in front of the house), or play a game of ping-pong.
- VISIT TO THE FARM : our neighbors are Angora goat breeders and like to share their passion during visits that are both fun and instructive.
Hors-série enjoys an ideal location to discover one of the most beautiful regions of France. You stay in the mythical Périgord Noir while being a stone's throw from Quercy . Here is a non-exhaustive but impressive list of the sites which surround you within a radius which varies from 10 minutes to less than 1 hour: Sarlat-La-Canéda , Lascaux , Rocamadour , La Roque-Gageac , Domme , Castelnaud , Les Eyzies , Collonges La Red , Autoire , the abyss of Padirac ! More than twenty sites classified as remarkable by the Green Guide are available to you, and others more confidential but oh so charming.
To come to us, nothing could be simpler, we are barely 15 minutes from the A20 motorway, exit Souillac, direction Sarlat.
Fifth in the ranking of the best destinations in the world in 2019, favorite destination of the French in summer 2020, "European best destination 2021", the Dordogne Valley (recognized as a world biosphere reserve by UNESCO) and Périgord delight their visitors ! Countless castles , medieval villages , markets , caves , pits , rivers , cultural and sporting activities , richness of the land and delicious gastronomy:
the region has it all.
Is it a coincidence that human beings have chosen to live there for so long? The neighboring Quercy (Lot) offers just as much wealth even if some of them remain for the moment less famous than their illustrious neighbors. Take the opportunity to discover them!
